So my ps pump failed last year and rather than buying a new part i pulled one out of a KA24E pickup truck at the junkyard. I swapped the belt wheel and hose connectors off my old pump, and put it into my KA24E 240sx. The steering has worked fine for over a year, but now it looks like there is fluid oozing out of the various connections throughout the system (but not at the pump itself). Am i running with too much pressure in my system??

You may be if the belt wheel is smaller then the one on the truck. It may also just be old lines. If the belt wheel is in fact smaller, replace it with the one from the truck.

Belt wheel was the same size, i had to swap them because it was a v belt on the truck, flat belt on my car.It most likely is old lines, 18 years old, 300,000 kilometers.

Thank you for your help!
