I've clowned on them for years. I said they weren't style, they had engineering philosophies I didn't agree with, and they just looked funny. I find myself in the market for another addition to the stable, however, and found one that just felt right. When I saw it in the sale magazine, it jumped off the page. When I went to the shop and stood in its presence, it gave my that fuzzy feeling. When I fired it up, there was no doubt, done deal.
The dealership should be done prepping it for pickup this afternoon so I can go grab it and bring it on home. Not sure my 180 will like sharing the driveway with it, but we are one big family; no sibling rivalry allowed. Pics coming tonight before I have to punch out for school and try to concentrate on business technology solutions when all that will be on my mind is getting her registered next week so I can roll my new SR! :woot:

Hearing you're getting an SR is like walking in on my mom banging the mailman, except the mailman is Hitler, except this Hitler is made of aluminum and has crappy rocker arms and a weak valvetrain.

I'm 90% sure TMS left his account logged in and someone posted this under his name as a joke, right? :squint:

I mean, there's no way you'd really stoop that low TMS, right? :frown:

Got it home, but I've lost the light and have to get to school. I'll have to wait until I'm off on Sunday to get some pron. She's faster than I expected but this seat has got to go.

I actually do very clean wiring. Paint and body, yeah, I don't do that well. I've had it for a day, nothing magical yet.

Speaking of wiring. I'm about to go out to a parts car 5 speed and yank the main harness to chop up for my car. I don't need the 50billion wires for cruise, auto trans, or pop ups anymore.

Mike, now that you're a proud owner of an SR equipped car, what are the chances you can track down a wiring manual for an S13? I have a wiring supplement for 180 type xes, but it's only about 10-12 pages long. I would kill to have the supplement that has the same info as the 240's EF&EC and EL sections.

Oh teh noes! Whatever will I do with a japanese service manual :D

I'll take you up on that offer when I have the spare change to drop on a service manual.

I really need to get around to publishing my translation for the EM section. I think i lost my notes though.

Fire me off an email whenever you want to do it. Normally, you can't get things without a vehicle title but they take care of the mad one. I remember once one Nissan guys was telling the Japanese dude next to me they couldn't do anything without the title. Meanwhile I had three different car's parts books open saying "gimme that hose off that car, that pipe from the other one and this fitting here off this car. Now I'm off to Mazda to get more parts for this Nissan."

The one thing I always tell my parts guy when I first end up at a new dealership is to be prepared to order off of about 3 to 4 different cars for my one car. Thank god one of the guys at the dealership I'm using now is an enthusiast who used to work for nismoparts.com
