Very excited to pick up my new ride tonight. I got the 06 MT Ivory Pearl/Stone, Nav, Aero, Sirius.

Not sure what to look for in the car (damage wise) or questions to ask the dealer.

Would sure appreciate some advise.

"Is it OK if I do a burnout in the parking lot?"

Honestly, just do a pre-delivery inspection - The car is new, so you should be good to go. You bought an INCREDIBLE vehicle, you're gonna LOVE it!!!!

p.s. Have the dealer walk you through the operation of the Nav system - I had to learn mnie by trial and error, and it would have been a lot easier with some guidance (I don't read instructions, haha).

Welcome aboard, and post up pics!!!!

Have the dealer show you how to get in the back seat! Ha!

Like an idiot it took we three days to figure out there was a button on the back of the seat.

Congrats on the purchase! Mine is loaded with all the goodies you have as well. Great car, sure to turn heads.

You may have a few minor rattles but return to the dealer to fix and they will take car eof you. I have finally gotten all of my rattles taken care of.

Enjoy it!

My 03 has none of the "common" rattles - Seems to be a hit-or-miss occurrence on G's.

Also, you can activate the rear seat entry by lifting the front seatback lever (side of the seat).

No, you have to push the button for the seat to go forward...

What button? The 03-04 does not have a button. It just uses the seatback adjustment lever.

Picked up my new ride yesterday (traded in an '04 Lexus RX 330). What a sweet car.

The dealer (Nick @ Circle Infiniti in West Long Branch, NJ) did an excellent job on delivery. Threw in some hats, shirts, keychains, coffee mugs and pens.

The car looks great in White/Stone.

I've got the 6MT with 19" wheels so I opted for their "Tire Maintenance Package". The packages retails for $299, they gave it to me at 50% off their cost. I walked away with a 3 year tire plan for $99 bucks. Not a bad deal.

Anyway....thanks for the advise. I love the car!!!

Joe - I don't know about any button either????? All you do is pull the lever that is facing you, the seat back releases and moves forward you push the button on the seat back it slides forward automatically. Push the button again and the seat slides back. Just don't push the seatback back before the seat stops sliding back or you lose your previous seat position. Should be the same process on the '05 and the '06. EXCEPT the '06 has memory seats which must be so nice!!!

Everytime I go to the car wash they can never figure out how to get in the back seat so they mess up my seat position. If I had an '06 w/ memory seats it would be no problem but it is currently a pain in the a$$ to fix your seat back everytime and you can never quite get that primo position you had before.

Jersey Coupe - Congrats!!!!! You have a truly beautiful car so enjoy it!!

As far as rattles, they tend to differ from person to person, nothing major and after some trial and error an easy fix. I HATE RATTLES!!!!!!!!!! of any kind. When I first bought my '05 I would have rattles from the front grates in the windshield, dealer fixed. Rattles form the sunroof control area, dealer fixed. Rattles from the back part of my driver's door panel, dealer fixed (turned out to be a piece of plastic they left in the door from the factory that would shift around on me). that was really my main rattles but minor things even though tracking them down was a pain the a$$, but sometimes crap happens.

EXCELLENT decision to purchase the tir package I have already had to use that on both back tires due to nails so that has definetely saves me some major cash.

Glad your on the site. Enjoy the ride!

On my '05 there is a button on both driver and passenger seats, underneath the lever on the back that makes the seat go forward, if the seat is down. Just pulling the lever on the side of the seat alone does not move it...

However, it will not return to the original position when I press it after its completly forward?? Although, I've never tried to press the button when the seat is upright, in the back seat...

What year is your car? Maybe its a new "option" in the '05, though I don't see why they changed it. I would love to have the seat memory instead from the 06!
