Hey fellas,

today after work I'm going to get my new 97 J30.Black/black.It's got the gold package which is a little over the top but this car is cherry. One could eat off the engine it's so clean.

Coming from a 95 G20, the power and RWD are intoxicating. I could not sleep a wink last night.

I've got a Stillen/K&N Filtercharger on the G20 and that made a tremendous difference. Haven't seen a similar product for the J30 -- just replacement filters for the stock box. Any ideas?

Thanks to all, will post pics when I can!

In what way? Louder induction noise, dirtier and hotter air is not a performance improvement.

Sounds like a cherry car. Previous posts here will inform you how to maintian it correctly for the maximum performance, enjoyment and longevity. Do post pictures in the members ride section. I haven't seen very many Black J30s.

Wow, I never thought of it that way. The reason I like it is that the RPMs seem to increase a lot faster with the K&N on than they ever did with the stock box.

But I probably won't need to mod anything on my new J! RWD, 210 ponies babeeeee!

I'm gonna be like Fred Flintstone jumping off the dinosaur to get my new J tonight!

One thing I always enjoyed about the J30 was the sense of elegance it gave off, especially the dark green and black ones.

The J30t with the lip spoiler looks perfect, as I think the back is a bit too swoopy for my tastes. Yeah, I'm more into teutonic styling.

To me, the 1997-2002 BMW 5-series is flawless in exterior looks.

Yeah!!!!

I got the car last night, drove it for a bit and it is awesome!

Then I drove it to work this morning, got the new 'work' sticker for the back window, and it is still awesome.

Smooth, smooth creamery butter. Gorgeous wood in the center stack, classy gauges, silky ride, plenty of power, great handling.

Just want to drive around and around in my new J30t.

Loving the spoiler -- happy happy guy today. Plus my MVIS stock is going up.

Recommend both J30t and MVIS stock highly.

Happy happy guy,B_Doggy

I was the same way when I picked up my J. I would take her out for a spin, come inside, and then go back out to do some more driving. Even now after having it for 3 years I still feel great going out to the garage.

OK fellas, I haven't had a chance to take any pics yet -- but I can tell you that this is the sweetest thing I've ever driven.

There's no voice activated navigation. There's no rear view camera.

But you don't miss them. This car feels so luxurious and well put together its amazing. There's a ton of power and I now realize that modding this car at all is for me, totally unnecessary.

It goes like hell when you get on the accelerator, and loafs along at 80mph -- basically this car wants to go fast. But, we have to take it easy.

Man I feel like the pimp daddy of all time driving this thing. A 1997 car that looks and feels brand new and I think has the best styling of any car around. Black, beautiful black with the lace spoke wheels and the gold badges. Damn that's pimping.

Yep. Life is good. Best $12.5k ever spent!

PS: Check out http://www.microvision.com. They make laser projection displays that will be used in the next generation of BMWs and probably VWs. Dunno if Nissan is hip to it yet.

My 94 J30T was one of my favorite cars...dark green with light brown leather. I bought it used and bought the Infiniti extended warranty. Never used the warranty to 85,000 miles. Ran like a top.
