hey guys,

i just picked up my T3 60 trim .60/.63 used from a mustang SVO. it is really clean and in great condition. internal wastegate set at 8psi. just wondering if it would be at all possible (though extremely inefficient) to run non intercooled at that pressure. thanks!

can't wait for BOOST:ylsuper

o yeah, the T3 will get a T4 compressor upgrade someday...

With that T3, and 4psi, that's OK.

6 would be pushing it.

8 is too much for no I/C, IMO.

I iked mine at 6 with no intercooler, and in fact, I saw NO RWHP improvement by adding my GReddy...but it is safer, no matter.

You need one, but it doesn't have to be huge.

Later - Brian

excuse my ignorance, but is there a way to lower the boost with an internal wastegate without getting a new spring? i was thinking of rigging up something like a controlled leak somewhere in the piping or something.

Not really. Even with a controlled leak, it may hit the wastegates boost level, or if it does not, it will end up responding very slowly and/or sucking up tons of the motor's power trying to reach the wastegate's boost level. If you need to lower boost, find an actuator for set to the boost level you desire.
