Got it today... Ride is great!!! Smoothe...Didnt get to really open it up yet,

But I was kinda disappointed with the Torqe. Doesnt have as much as my last vehicle... I thought it would have been more..

But acceleration isnt bad...

Congratulations on your new ride! Doesn't have enough torque? Were you driving a V8 prior to this? The Altima V6 has more torque (258) than its main competetion, the Accord and Camry (both with 248). 258 lbs-ft is enough torque for me.

I had a VW Passat 1.8t...Didnt have as much HP but it had so much torque... people who didnt know about them things didnt know it was a 4 cylinder vehicle, they thought it was at least a v6

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the VW 1.8T have way under 200 lbs-ft torque? Something more like 150 lbs-ft -/+ a few. I don't think VW ever had big torque motors. And didn't yours suffer from turbo lag, especially because of the low torque?

For the class, I believe the Altima rules in the torque department. And we're talking about 3.5+ liter V6's all with 250+ HP.

Lol. Thats wierd. The altima hits its torque at 4-5k rpm, maybe thats why?

But there is no way any 4 cylinder can feel more powerful then the VQ..

Unless your talking about the rally cars with monster turbos/ engineering involved.

Your probably right about that.. i guess i am judging torque by right off the line cause i used to give people whiplash when starting from a dead stop. or changing gears. I used to chirp all the way into 3rd gear... You guys have to forgive me if i made a faux pasMaybe i didnt get a chance to really open it up or check out the upstairs power yet... I dont dare do that on the palisades parkway which is what i take to go to work. way too much police

Welcome~ another 6MT~

I'm sure after you break in that baby you'll know exactly what you're missing rite now; you'll see and feel the way it chirps into 2nd and 3rd gear, then you'll appreciate the torque
