Picked up an S14. LSx Swap?

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

I've been reading over here for a while on the LSx swap into the 240sx chassis. (Honestly, I miss WD. He's been MIA in the KA-T forum lately) I can't quite grasp it all yet, but I'm learning as much as I can.I don't have too many questions, just a few. If you guys could entertain me, that would be awesome!

What would be the best year LSx to get? -I've heard that the '02 and up are the most desirable due to some casting in between the cylinders to keep air flow in the crank case at bay..? Is this true?Would it be better to get a drop-out, or just get a whole crashed car? -Not sure where to find either one locally due to being located in New England..How much money has it cost from start to finish, not including the car?

I hope I don't get flamed. If WD still loves me, he will help me fight the fires..

Thanks guys. And I'll post pics of the S14 soon. The S13 is in the sig.. KA-T Powah!!

I've been away from Nico as a whole lately broham. I just got done with the move from Tucson to TX...actually not done unpacking but...

Any LS will make a sweet upgrade. The oldest model will easily make 450whp with the basic upgrades that they rest of the models like. Cam, intake etc.

A wrecked car would be sweet, then you'd have mounts and other assorted items to play with/modify. But most people buy a motorset with harness and ecu. You could also look for a whole front clip. There are lots of options, the best choice is the one that fits your personal budget.

Mine only allows for a iron block SBC and 700R4...

Much appreciated bro. And I hope your move ended up going well.

Anyone else have any input? Maybe a source to get some motorsets or something? Honestly, I've been looking on EBay, as bad as it sounds.. Just to get an idea.

Thanks for listening.~Eric
