Hello, I picked up a 06 m35x last night black on black with 121000 miles. The care is beautiful and runs great. I do have a couple of questions. The po told me the key fobs needed new batteries. They work but not all the time. I popped them open and replaced the batteries but now they are not working. Do I have to do anything specific after replacing the batteries? My next question. The front passenger door pops when opening and closing. I thought the hinge may need grease but that did not solve the problem. Any ideas? Thanks!

You may want to try another battery before taking it to a dealer. I found I had to clean my connectors well, as at first my new battery didn't work. If the fob works to open and close the doors, then the battery probably isn't the problem. What happens when you put it in the slot to the lower left of the steering wheel? Does the car recognize it and start?

The key does nothing. When I stick the key in the slot it says something about no fob. I forgot exactly what it says. I can still start the car with the key in the slot.

Upside down battery? Or maybe you're using 2025 instead of 2032 or vice versa (I don't remember which one is used)...not that that should really matter, but you never know with infiniti lol.

Try tightening the hinges on the door and frame to fix the popping.

I'm new to the M35 as well. I know where the fob slot is on the dash, but where is the mechanical key slot to start the car?

There is not any mechanical key slot to start the car. When the battery in the key dies you put it in the slot and you can start it that way. Otherwise with a good battery it is not necessary to put the key in the slot to start the car.

The popping is coming from inside the door. I do not think tightening it is the solution. Unless I have to open the door up.

My drivers side door was making a popping noise only when it hit the doors stops while opening and closing. I took it to Nissan(who service my FX and M) and it was replaced and it stopped.
