Guys,

Its been great on the forum. I just recently pick up a 2009 Honda Pilot with 18k miles.

Pathfinder has 123k miles and still going strong. I just needed more space for long trip and better mpg.

Sad to let go of the pathfinder. I had a 1996 pathfinder from 2003-2007. Then i sold it and pick up a 2001 pathfinder in 2007. Great vehicle overall, just need basic maintenance.

I'll still be on the forum for helping other with question.

I will be posting a fs thread something within the next few weeks.

Not sure what their rated mpg is but everyone I have know says they don't get close to what they are supposed to get.

They are rated at 16/22 mpg, so it ifs worse than that, you might as well have stayed with the Pathfinder :)

Good luck with it -- be very careful with the fluids -- many Honda's use particular fluids ..... You want to use the correct OE stuff.

With the pathfinder - was getting around 13 mpg city and 16 highway. That is when i remove all the speakers, amp and subwoofer. I was doing about 20% city and 80% highway. average around 250 miles on a full tank of gas. On the pilot i am getting about 18 mpg city and 22-23 highway. 20% city and 80 % highway, average around 380 miles on a full tank of gas. I just getting a newer vehicle for mpg, but also more space and better for long trips.

I will look into the fluids for the Honda. Thanks for the head-up yeldogt.

Great choice for an suv, I'm a honda guy at heart. This is true that the only non-oem fluids you can use in honda are engine oil and brake fluid. Enjoy it man and lets see some pics of this beast!

After the retrofit? Are you selling with the headlights? If I were you I'd replace the OEMs and have the retrofits transferred to your pilot. Best of luck!

Nice color scheme! I'm flattered :naughty:

Haha, nice upgrade! I like that model. Especially the rear. It actually still looks like an SUV and not a crossover minivan with a lift kit. Enjoy it!

Is it a 5spd auto or 6? It sure is a bit better then you can get with the r50, but thats because its a 4spd and not 5. The most i ever got with it on a 160m trip at one point was like 19.5.

Then again 22mpg isnt too great for a v6 suv.

My X5 is rated 14/20, normal driving i get 15.5, thats also with remote starting it for about 2-5min before i leave work, but on a 90m trip recently i got 22.8mpg, i consider that pretty f'in good for a 5000 pound suv with a 4.8L v8.

Heres a pic, dont mind the consumption 1 cause i reset that maybe a min or 2 before the picture, but consumption 2 was reset before i started the trip.

It is 5 speed - All wheel drive. I took a trip back in August - all highway, going to a water park and I was averaging about 24 mpg @ 75 mph with the AC on.

Good gas mileage on the X5.
