hey gama--looks great!

did you do the install yourself? I drive the exact same model as you, and I'm thinking about doing an intake job, but I've never done one before. Any pointers?

The 06 does not have a dual intake. So the answer is no. I installed the Stillen intake a few weeks ago and I'm happy with the sound. I don't notice any performance increase in real world driving.

cool, so it sounds better without an upgrade in exhaust?

How much do they go for?

why not get a K&N drop in? you're sucking in really hot air...i don't see any ducting to the filters. at least with the stock box it is somewhat shielded from engine bay air temps and you can duct directly to the box keeping the stock look.

but i'm sure the dual intakes make a better sound though...

fujita and stillen have dyno charts that show on dual intake a extra 6-7 HP at the wheels and 4 extra pounds feet of torque!!! i feel a little more throttle response and a little boost but not much but the sound is great!!

Hey gama, that looks awsome! I got the same car and am interested in doing an intake too. I was wondering if you noticed better mpg after the install? I searched around on the forum but couldn't find a thread on this question. So, if you could please reply. thx

i always thought if you put intake on, it brings more air into the engine, so then the engine noticing the air, puts more fuel in as well, decreasing your mpg, but i may be way off

the car is moving forward..thus FUJITA doesn't worry about hot air so much because of the massive amount of front outside air entering through the grill. Standing still is awful though but is a non issue because you aren't going forward and there is nothing to do but sit.

i'm getting my FUJITA in FEDEX by noon today!!! I'll post picks!

it doesn't increase gas mileage..probably worsens it because you are burning more fuel because of more cold air entering unrestricted...

honestly judging by all the responses everyone has said about this topic..it really depends on the dealer..they could be jerks and say it voids the warranty since you added after market parts towards your car..but some of them will be lenient and if your car breaks down and the intake is not a direct cause, then they will fix it. Its easily removed..just remove if you have to before you go have it serviced is possible. Hope this kinda helped you haha

Changing to FUJITA OR INJEN does not void the warranty. This is from the PASSPORT INFINITI Dealer in the DC METRO area. They swear by it. Neither does the muffler cat back system.

is it a good/bad idea to get a dual intake in a state where it's semi cold environment, such as boston?

its actually better to have a cold air intake. The principle behind it is that you are pumping cold air which burns greater amounts of oxygen and flows freely into the engine. The cold air is beneficial to increased power. i'd go for it. I lived in syracuse NY with it for 1 year...and flew!

...any cold air intake dual or not is better for performance..regardless of weather.

Will not be a problem at all! In fact, you could do the MREV2 coolant bypass if you wanted, just turn it on during cold months.
