I've got a 91 300zx TT and i have a couple bad injectors, i was told the q45 stock injectors are 370cc just like the 300zx. But before buying them i'd like to see pics to make sure i am getting the correct injectors and not the ones that are not 370cc. The ones for sale seem to be an off-white color. And they are newer style oval connectors that don't have the metal retaining clip.

Thanks
Chris

Why not just purchase the correct part number listed for your specific vehicle? Wouldnt that solve any question you have regarding fitment issues????

90-93 and 94-96 are different injectors, different sized bottom o-rings and different fuel rail cups. The most obvious difference is the pintle caps. It sounds like you're looking for the 90-93 FI.

90-93 have the metal retaining clip on the FI harness connector:

94-96 do not have a retaining clip and the harness connector snaps into place on top of the injector:

First off its not a fitment issue. I need the newer style injectors like shown in the second picture. They are the pintle-less injectors with the snap in connector. All I'm asking is to confirm that the new style injectors are indeed 370cc injectors.

And the reason I'm wanting to use these is because a local has 8 of them for cheap and they are much easier to source than the newer style z32 injectors.

:welcome: to NICO Chris!

According to http://www.deatschwerks.com, they are 370cc injectors, and my understanding has always been that the 300zx TT and Q shared a 370cc injector.

I assume you're aware of the differences in the fuel rail for the newer style injector vs. the older style?

Yes I'm aware of the differences in the rails. I already have a new style fuel rail for my Z I just wanted to confirm they are 370cc. I was told to avoid a certain year model as they are not 370cc. As in maybe post 96 year model? Or do you know if those are still 370?

Thanks

As far as I know, the years you're looking for are the 94-96. 1997 was the revision to the Y33 version with the 4.1L engine - so I would think that's when it changed.

So did they ever have 270cc injectors for the q45? Or something larger/smaller than the 370cc? This guy claims they came from a 98 motor and they are definately side feed pintle-less with snap in connectors.

If they're the same size as the 94-96 I would be surprised... I've never heard of anyone using them. With all of the ethanol failures we've seen - I'm sure someone would have tried a 97+ which has been pretty much bulletproof, if it would fit.
