i think the term fraud comes to mind.
thanks for the help.... umm i kinda understand that but the fact is that is wasnt like that before and i dont have pics to prove it. i understand its not "right" what im doing. but its not "right" what they are doing either. and everyone knows that 2 wrongs make a right... right?? lolbreaker77 wrote:you are breaking the law with this request.

ya i would except she lives 7 hours from me and i wasnt there. but her and another tenant picked the fence off of the car.scotty-2-forty wrote:Dude, find a piece of the fence and line it up with the bumper ... sure looks like the right size (re: the scrape, not the cracks). Be careful on your request though! Good luck with it all.
That's why they should line up a piece of the fence that fell on it and match it up; take a picture with it next to it just like in the one shown here. Could be profound evidence at that.motoman399 wrote:... like i said the land lord knows that the fence fell on it, just thinks it didnt do the damage to the bumper.
good thing i didnt post this thread asking for opinions or options. please dont tell me what you think happened to the car. i KNOW what happened to the car. i would not try to cheat anyone out of something that isnt their fault. i dont work like that.DMan II-40 wrote:Yeah those look like pressure cracks, I can't see a fence doing that. What I know is happening is you are attempting to defraud someone. And I also know that if somebody gives you a picture of another car and you use it claiming it as yours, they are an accessory to fraud. To knowingly use a photo of another vehicle that is not yours whether it is identical in brand, color, shape, etc. is in fact fraud. Apparently neither party has proof beyond doubt that the fence did the damage. If the landlord and/or the insurance company 'thinks' the fence did not do the damage and you 'think' this is what caused it, then the proof needs to be beyond doubt; not falsified. If it went to court or if the insurance company found out that you used a photo of another car you claimed to be damage one, you are in big trouble. Ask yourself if it's worth jail time and/or a financial penalty. Here's my questions: Who took the pictures of the damaged car shown in this post? Can't someone who lives there take a piece of the fence and line it up against the bumper to show that the possibility is in fact real that the fence could do this? If none of this can be done, let it go dude ... get the insurance money for the tail lamp and move on. For real ... for your own sake.motoman399 wrote:

so please no more opinions on what YOU think happened. i just need one picture. and might not even need it. but it could help. so please help me as i have helped many of you. thanks
Don't be so quick to judge. I know that here in south Florida we can get wind 'gusts' up to 70mph during some thunderstorms. Hell, two weeks ago we had a hail storm out of nowhere that produced golfball size hail that broke some plastic on my Suburban ... put a hole straight through the window visor! The bumper on our 240's is only plastic, and the pressure cracks also depend on how much flex-agent was used in the paint process. I can only imagine in the mid-west the types of storms and downdrafts that those thunderheads can produce. At this point, this is more about proof, not judgement.DMan II-40 wrote:Yeah those look like pressure cracks, I can't see a fence doing that. I'm with the land lord on this one.
thankss14ben wrote:shouldnt the fence owner be in the position of proving his fence didnt cause the damage? if it can bust a tail light it can tear up some paint. wind is pretty powerful when it's pushing on a 6'x8' panel of fence with post attached.
edit: you will have zero credibility if this thread or your fake pics somehow get into the argument. get a professional opinion from a bodyshop or something about how the damage happened.
i dont know. im with you on it.Nesquick wrote:IF the land lord is going to go thru insurance on this incident, why wouldnt he say the bumper damage is from the fence as well. its not going to cost him any more or any less....
very good point. ok well pic request is off. my girlfriend took the pics. she isnt strong enough to put the fence back on the car and then pick it up again. and she only noticed the very obvious which was the tail light. then the next day she noticed the bumper. and we know that it wasnt another car. i was not like that before and she didnt use her car that day, so it was not another car.scotty-2-forty wrote:

Anytime. I just don't want to see somebody who (in the heat of the moment) jumps to doing something rash in order to make good. It can get you in trouble. But I think you understand now. Again, good luck with it all and stay cool.motoman399 wrote:... i think the guy that took the pictures was just being a d!ck. the lady seemed to be more understanding. thanks for your help scotty.
You just did.ILoveMyRHS13 wrote:So this is silly. I can understand wanting not to get screwed over, but posting on the INTERNET about it?
Aight, well there is a VERY easy fix to this... It involves MS paint and taking a picture of the other side of the car where the bumper is still in good condition. I'll let you figure out the rest. I'm not getting roped into this s***.
lol thats right be jealous. haha. she loves it too!cubantunr wrote:Wish my gf had a 240
