I am sure someone out there has 18x8+ wheels on there S13. I am looking to do this, but I am certain that some work is necessay. I don't plan on lowering (maybe, but Naples roads are horrible), so I hope to be ok for a bit. Lemme know what you guys did to make it work lowered or not. I have 18x8.5 F and 18x9.5 R on the way. I still need to find tires and have thought about 235/40/18 F and 245/40/18 or 255/40/18 R. Lemme know what you guy got and also what you think

Thanks.

Rob

What offset are the wheels that you're getting?

^ Exactly.

I'm seeing them work with narrower widths and strtched tires... The rear is easy, the front, not so much. But it can be done.

those tires are going to be hard to stuff in the front.18x9.5 itself is going to be hard to stuff in the front alone.

The offset is +30 on both. The fronts are 18x8.5 and the rer is 18x9.5. I want to lower, but I will hold off till I get to an area w/ better roads. Sorry for not specifying the offset before (forgot about that).

They'll fit but the offset is pretty weak. Especiallt at stock ride height. You have little to worry about.

Here are mine with 18x8.5f and 18x9.5r. Both have a 35mm offset with a 10mm spacer on front. 225/40 on front and 245/40 on rear...I don't think I would do this without lowering though.....

Cool. I feel better then. You didn't have to roll your fenders did you? And how much did you lower? I was thinking 225/40 F and 235/40 R. Now I will go w/ th 245/40 R. Thanks

Nick240sx - These were taken on top of the High and Market Street garage....

I didn't roll the fenders and I believe it's lowered about 2 inches...I have coilovers on it so I am not really sure....

So effectively you have a 18x8.5 with a 25mm offset up front.

BTW masterteque, with 18s and 40 series tires, do you experience any rubbing of the inner wall when you turn your wheels to full lock?

That is just the information I needed. As far as negative camber, how much did you use? I will probably stay pretty close to stock height (nervous about Naples streets) until I get to a better area. I still have to pick up coilovers or springs/dampeners to complete my suspension. Thanks again.

if your worried about street condish. I would stay away from 18's, 17's will offer better cusion. I have a set of 18's on one of my s13's stock suspention (NOT BY CHOISE)and bumps worry me

No rubbing at all....I don't think 18's are too harsh for the streets and I am on s**tty PA roads. That just my opinion......

Did you roll your fenders Yokoda? I still haven't gotten tires yet. Hopefully my tempo will slow down so that I can get my ride finished up. Again, good to see you back.
