nice. you need to make a super-high-tech heat shield for those plug wires. my brother and I made one for my car this weekend from some sheet metal we had laying around. I'll get a pic up of my dandy heatshields if you want.

You see the oil line? it's way too close to the hot hot hot manifold, I don't know what to do.

it should be ok, mine is like that too. if you are worried you can cover it in some insulation.

Quote »THERMO-SLEEVE

The new seamless lamination of a high-temperature fabric to a highly-reflective foil is the makeup of Thermo-Sleeve, which provides protection from radiant heat for hoses and wires.

Thermo-Sleeve's ultra light-weight construction provides more insulating than traditional bulky rubber-coated fiberglass. The aluminized sleeving reflects over 90% of radiant heat, and is fireproof and oil resistant.

Thermo-Sleeve is packaged in 3 or 12-foot lengths, and is sold in five different inside diameter sizes. Thermo-Sleeve is available in custom lengths for special applications.[/quote]I havent taken pictures of the engine bay after I made the heat shield so I'll snap one or two later tonight.

WOW, nice going. How is it working?

Curious though, which manifold and down pipe are you using? If it's custom I'm sure it could'nt have been that cheap.

A buddy of mine is doing something similar so any more info would be appreciated so I can pass it on.

haha ki installed the turbo myself, but the oil drain line and downpipe welding, bunch of stuff, Steve at Corner3garage did it for me.

i bougth the kit from ebay, bunch of stuff was broken, end up spend total about 900 dollar for everything until now. (250 was for new SAFC II)

right now, my fuel setup is F-ed up. needs to be tuned, ran strong before i killed the boost for safe driving.

future plan is get tune for 450cc injector with SAFC, currently looking for good place. (and new job )

Nice setup. How much boost are you running? I think the Z31 wastegate is set at 5psi.

correct. It's 6.7psi. but mine don't go over 6 psi. maybe boost gauge isn't good.

No, I am sure the sweep is so small that it is hard to tell, plus you will have drop at the intercooler.
