Whats the deal with the huge gaps between your steering wheel rim and center pad?

I replaced my ivory one in my 94 Q45 with a black one (believe it was from a 90-93). I don't think it "snapped right in", but it wasn't difficult at all.

There's a thread or 2 about doing this somewhere??

Fitting for a Q as McIntosh was once{still?} owned by Clarion who supplied the Q headunit.

Subaru used to offer McIntosh headunits in some of their cars- strange marriage between the two.

there's a couple threads about swapping out years (i searched and read) but there's not one for swapping a president clock into a '90 lhd housing. another guy mentioned it was a drop in, but i soon found out it was only a drop in for some years. i had to modify my housing, and it worked, but i would prefer a clean oem fit.

any chance you have that clock that you swapped out?

this hu is actually one of the jdm subaru units.

clarion no longer owns mcintosh. they are now owned by d & m holdings (owner of denon and boston acoustics among others).

it does have lights, unfortunately i hacked the rear housing up to fit president clock and it would no longer be usable for the original face.

Looks like you need a 1994-1996 Q45 steering wheel or someone that works with leather to fill the gap.

But are you just trying to make a RHD Nissan President or just goin "VIP"?

I know it's a bit late, but I'll post this up anyway for anyone looking for pics in the future:

I'd like one of the President clocks as well. Specifically, the gold-on-black clock.I swapped a '90-'93 clock into my car for a week but decided I liked the classier gold/white clock better (even though I'm not fond of gold).

My biggest issue with the '94-'96 clock is it's readability. Since the whole face lights up instead of just the ticks, contrast when lit is very poor.

Ideally, I'd have a silver-on-black clock. Silver is so much more attractive than gold.

Yeah, and I should have just got it from you when I picked up the Q in 07. I am just looking to change the look up a little. I have the black clock now, and would like to swap it with the one you had extra.
