hey guys...

anyone have PIAA ion yellow or Luminics Racing yellow bulbs in place of their fog lights?? was wondering how that would look matched with the A/C hid's?

ive had luminics yellow bulbs as fogs on my xB and tC and they looked great... just wondering if i should do that comparison... because ive never had hid lights before.. and yellow fogs always matched well with silvania silverstar headlight bulbs... at night.

any thoughts?

I like yellow for functionality not look but thats my opinion and also I DISPISE PIAA!!!! Those bulbs are the most overprices POS ever, I went through so friggin many of those things in my Titabn I gave up on contacting PIAA for replacements and went with Silverstars..never aproblem, and yes I used cotton lint free gloves when handeling and installing them,...but then others love them I personally hate them...so yeah the other brand and thanks for letting me rant

I was not happy that the stock fogs didn't match the HID headlights, so I had to decide if I was going to try to match they HIDs by getting new fog bulbs that had the HID look, or go the other direction and get contrasting yellow fogs. I decided to go the second route and made my fogs yellow by applying yellow lamin-x film to them.

I think it offers a few advantages over switching to yellow bulbs. First the film is simple to apply so you avoid the labor hassle of switching the bulbs out. Second, the film is cheaper than decent bulbs, and you don't risk getting crappy bulbs that burn out quickly. Third, the film also provides protection for the fogs from rocks, which is actually the main purpose of it. Finally, the film is easy to remove if you decide you don't like it.

I've had it on my coupe for a few months and I am still happy with it. Plus I don't think the fogs do much to improve your driving visibility when you have HIDs. By switching to yellow at least you gain the advantage of having oncoming cars see you better. Yellow if VERY visible in poor/foggy weather.

You'd be better off investing in HIDs for fogs too, since the prices are so low nowadays because of supply>>demand. I have 6k for low beam and 3k for fogs, imho it's the best setup if you want to go double HIDs. Some ppl dont like them but its just personal preference.

Here's a quick pic for ya

I got them through a friend in LA, but the kits are all the same, just make sure they come with 1 yr warranty. Mine has been over 2 yrs already and its still runnin great.

I had Philips HID on my accord, trust me, you cant tell the difference.
