i need to know if the 25 and 26 block look basically the same to a rb30 block, technical specs of motor are irrelevant just going on basic appearance. i know this sounds pointless and stupid but its very relevant in my situation lol.

thanks.

Exhaust side:(note: cooling channel on top of the block, and the trim that is at the middle of the rb26 which isn't there for the rb30 whereas it has vertical ribs, rb26 block should say 05U, NISSAN, and JAPAN.. and rb26 has oil pan holes along it's side)

Intake side: (notice the rb30 has more material above the thermostat housing and vertical ribs whereas the rb26 has a horizontal trim. Even the block ID plate is different, rb26 has oil pan holes)

26 block should be awd, 25 and 30 shouldn't. 25's block casting is 75T IIRC. Process of elimination.

But what are the awd rb25 casting numbers? I don't know much about block numbers but I do know there are awd rb20s and rb25s too! :P

I'm guessing the RB30 uses a rb25/rb20 rwd style oil pan?

I'm sure the AWD RB20/25 blocks have different casting numbers, but they probably wouldn't be easily confused with the RWD only RB30 block.
