photoshop

um..if you are new to photoshop i suggest doing tutorials so you can learn how to utilize the tools. They don't even have to be tutorials related to car "chops" But there are sites with car tutorials such as http://www.photoshopjunkie.com

Once you get that going just do your own thing..make sure you have good references and good quality pics

This is the same way I learned way back when... Actually started out with a program called Picture Publisher, but the tools were very similar

Yeah the fastest way to learn is to just play with the program alot. You can do alot of chopping of cars to try other things out.

I still suck at it but oh well, you only get worse if you don't keep trying.

I'm in thre process of learning it too.

It's not as intuitive as I'd hoped it would be, although I think MS paint (and the test editor in Powerpoint) have spoiled me.

BTW, I couldn't find the text editor (advanced) in Photoshop... Guess I need to go back for more tutorials.

COPY AND PASTE... square out the rims you want to copy. then paste them on the picture of the car you want to put them on... then press...ctrl+T ... thats the free transform command.. you can scale the imige of the rim to fit the car or you can strech it as well.. once youve got it to the right scale... ist erase the edges and when your happy with your work... "flatten your layers" that way you can save it as a jpeg file....

heres an example i did this before i had rims on my car and i wanted to see how a set of giovani kobe's would look on my car...

If you don't want to steal a copy of Photoshop, you can get Photoshop Elements, which costs about $100. It doesn't have all the functionality of the full version but it's got enough to satisfy all but the most hardcore amateur or a professional user.

Also, you can try The Gimp, which is a like an open-source version of Photoshop.

http://www.good-tutorials.com

I learned a whole lot from that site and asking around. Like ]stm[, I asked him awhile back how to do something (change the color of the car I think?) and that got me big time into chopping and what not, but now I just stick to doing vectors of things (cars, anything else car related, like in my sig). but for allot of stuff get some of our aim sn's and IM us and we'll be more than happy to help. Have fun = )

hehe BB turbo..looking good. Take out some of those thinner lines, it makes it a little messy. You can show the different areas with shading instead of the numerous accent lines.

Oh yeah, and got big help from Vman on doing vectors = ). I'm still not good with shading yet, I tried and it looked awful.
