There's many different ways to do color swaps, try selecting the area and doing a Hue/Saturation change for starters (Crtl+U) or try some layer blending (Overlay or Multiply), etc...

I would buy a photoshop book, because color swapping is pretty basic.

I'd say the hardest part is making sure your selection is clean, magic wand only goes so far.

Btw- Black rims with a colored or polished lip always looks good imo! I like the orange, kinda matches the front headlight blinkers.

photoshop is somewhat hard to use if you havent used it before, but try out elements which has the basic stuff that you guys wanna do.

you can always layer or quick mask things to get what your trying to change color..

btw, google can be your best friend

Anyone ever look at this for the stock 17 inchers? I was just thinking about doing this because my Pops just got a Powder Coating sprayer at work that was like $10Gs so it HAS to be Pro-Caliber machine. Give him a couple weeks to practice on the Kiln Jackets (the reason his work bought it) and I will have a professional powder coater at my finger tips! haha

It also helps if you have photoshop plugins, I use OnOne photomask pro an amazing add on for any masking job. The program is a bit pricey but im sure you can find it on some torrent site, i was lucky enough to have my work purchase the entire OnOne suite for me I love spending company money. I will also take a crack at the metal effect sometime today.

Here you go Hussain, its kinda hard to really get that polished looked since a chrome/polished look is not really a color but all reflection. Hope this helps giving you an idea for powder coated stock rims.
