Photoshop expert help needed

Sorry don't know if this would be a good forum for this but I figured it is the closest thing I'm looking for.

I am pretty decent at photoshop myself but I'd like to ask you of a favor. I want to create a poster for my car when I goto car shows so I have something I can put in front of the car on a stand that lists all of the mods. I have the means to a printer that does 17x13 I believe in size and want it to fill the entire poster board.

I want it to have like multiple opaque pictures of different areas of my car and then over it in some nice script the entire modlist on my ride. I'm talking multiple filters and things to really make it blend together. I know we are all really busy but it doesn't need to be finished until the first car show which isn't until May I believe. If you could help me out in that I'd really appreciate it.

Im not the best at photoshop at all...but If you send me the pics of the cars you want to use I will do a rough draft and see if you like it, then do a real one. [email protected]

What about microsoft publisher. Ive used that for making posters for school events here on campus. Its really easy to use. Photoshop works well too (ive made posters that way), but microsoft publisher seems to be more user friendly. Graphics wize, Id say photoshop is better.

Wow this is excellent guys, all this help being offered. I haven't gotten any pictures of the car I want to post yet because I'm waiting for it to get warmer to put on my new wheels before I take the shots. These 17x7s just embarrass the car, the 18x9s will make it look MUCH meaner.

Also this printer I have means to costs my dads company over 15k a month, yes...fifteen thousand dollars a month. It will spit out high resolution full size 17x13 prints at an astonishing rate, it will do like 80 a minute in full color, black and white like 200 pages a minute. So I guess if other people ever get one made for their car I can get them printed for you and sent out at a very minimal cost.

if you're serious about wanting this done by someone, some recommendations:

- images should a MINIMUM of 200 ppi for decent digital manipulation. . . if you plan on scaling anything to a larger size than the original, the more resolution/the better

- i'd suggest Pagemaker or Quark over Publisher anyday. But considering you're not really looking to format an entire document, then Photoshop or Illustrator would be just fine for a single graphic.

- Filters are there to ENHANCE a good layout, not take the place of it.

- Incorporate the text cleanly and clearly. Car shows don't always have the best lighting and you want to make things legible.

ya jester did point out some important stuff. A complex looking picture is nothing if its not functional. Its like all of these sites i see these days where people put a cool background..but you cant read their text...a little common sense maybe? So jester was right about filters enhancing pics, they make pics look more complex than they really are =D

I can do some photoshop stuff. But I'd need plenty of time since I'm finishing up with college right now. I'm a little busy. The sooner I have pics, the better. I've done a lot of graphic design, print stuff, and internet. http://www.chicanefilms.com and http://www.geocities.com/art6journal/ are two places you can go if you want an idea of what I can do. Of course, I can do other stuff too, but those two sites will give you an idea. SInceI don't have the time or money for a portfolio site those will have to do. PEACE. Tek.

Pics are easier to crop if you have the car against a fairly uniform background, I.E a building in the back or something. One picky thing: if you photograph it on asphalt or a solid surface, the wheels aren't covered by grass. Gives more options for manipulating and placing the photo. PEACE. Tek.

Sorry, man. Going to be too busy to design a whole poster, but I can do some simple stuff retouching the photos. So if someone else is gonna do it, and needs a little help editing you current photos I may be able to help. PEACE. Tek.



The second photo has the reflection of the photgrapher removed, and the sticker on the rear window removed, along with some blur and a little touch up on blemishes. The other photo obviously has a filter, and bigger wheels. Heh. PEACE. Tek.

Did you other guys get the pictures? I resent them in smaller emails? There was 4 emails I believe.
