2016 Rogue SL FWD. Bluetooth. Voice commands on navi works perfectly. Voice commands for the phone works great on things like redial, dialing by number, etc, EXCEPT I have never once been able to dial by saying "call Mary Smith". The system simply acts as if I haven't said anything. As if it doesn't hear me. Heading off some questions, I have a galaxy S6 which I have no other problems with (it worked fine with my 2014 Altima's Bluetooth), I have deleted and repaired it to my Rogue. It connects perfectly to other Bluetooth devices. Dealership has been useless, saying it's working fine. Help please!!!

You didn't mention if you phone is up to date or which carrier you're using. I selected Verizon and the highest level phone update.

Nissan Bluetooth Device Compatibility

2016 Nissan Rogue w/nav Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge running Android 6.0.1 on Verizon network
What's Not Supported:
Phonebook Download (Entire Phonebook)
Phonebook Download (Single Entry)

Setup Guide
To connect your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge through Bluetooth, your vehicle must be stationary.

STEP #1: PREPARE YOUR PHONE
Turn Bluetooth on:
From the Main Screen, Select "Settings"
Select "Bluetooth"
Slide toggle switch to "On" or "Off"
Name your phone:
Device names cannot be changed in phone menu

STEP #2: PREPARE YOUR VEHICLE
On your vehicle:
1. Press the "Phone Button"
2. Press "Connect"
3. Press "Connect New Device"

STEP #3: PAIR YOUR PHONE TO THE VEHICLE
On your phone:
1. From the Main Screen, Select "Settings"
2. Select "Bluetooth"
3. Select "Scan for Devices"
4. Select "[MY-CAR]"
5. Verify the passkey shown on the vehicle and the phone are the same If so, accept pairing request on the phone

STEP #4 VEHICLE CONFIRMATION
Select "Yes"

STEP #5: ADDING YOUR CONTACTS TO THE VEHICLE
Each paired phone has its own dedicated phonebook. Two phonebook setup options are available depending on your phone's support for Phonebook Access
Option 1: Phones which support Phonebook Access:
When a phone is connected to the system, the phonebook is automatically downloaded to the vehicle. No additional setup is required to begin voice-dialing contacts by name.

Option 2: Phones which DO NOT support Phonebook Access or where Automatic Phonebook Download is turned Off in the Phone & Bluetooth Settings menu:Settings menu:
On your vehicle:
1. Press the "Menu" button
2. Select "Settings"
3. Select "Phone & Bluetooth"
4. Select "Phone Settings"
5. Select "Download Phonebook Now"

Thank you!!! With my previous car (2014 Altima) I didn't have to go into settings to download my phonebook so I didn't know. Oddly, my sister also has a 2016 Rogue but she didn't have to do that either. So I got it to now recognize that in trying to call someone but it gets the names totally wrong. I say "call Ashley" and it starts dialing "Weasel". (Nickname of a friend from high school. Don't ask. Haha). Will it just take time to lean my speech pattern ?? I make sure to speak clearly and slowly. Navi recognizes my speech perfectly but I don't know if they are tied together

Navi and Bluetooth are integrated in the head unit (unlike the previous gen), but I believe they use different voice recognition systems. The Bluetooth voice recognition, while improved is still often hit or miss.
