I've got a 1999 Maxima that keeps throwing the 1320 code. Since I've got to get the car thru emissions by the end of the month I'm looking for a quick local OEM parts source to buy coil packs and get on with the project.

Any local folks have a recommendation or hookup ?? Also if anyone local in the NorthCentral(19th and Northern) area has a CONSULT II I'd be interested in hearing from you via a PM.

Thanks in advance for any info you might be able to share. :dblthumb:

Contact Joe at Scottsdale Nissan (www.everythingnissan.com) for a NICO discount on the coilpacks.

I've got an Infiniti Master Tech over in Peoria who has all the diagnostics connections for Nissan products. www.karsarizona.com

Welcome aboard!

Got the clean emissions bill of health tonight..........very happy to have that 1320 saga behind me!!

What I'd sure like to know is WHY the 1999 Maxima ECM is sooo finicky on what kind of coil pack is used. I switched a properly functioning(no miss, bucking or hesitation) aftermarket coil pack for a new OEM coil pack and the 1320 issue was history!!! WTF!???

Any 95-01 car will throw a P1320 with aftermarket coilpacks^
i've been told that it is the internal resistance of the CP that does not register correctly with the ECM..therefore making it think there is a miss although it may be working "good enough". Now I don't know if this is correct, but it sounds plausible

Thanks 'tigersharkdude' for that response over 4 years ago, it makes sense!! :-)

I've been replacing the coil packs as they go bad, had another one go bad last week, with the OEM coil packs and now only have 1 or 2 more to go. I figure the old adage of "don't fix it if it isn't broken" was applicable.
