The Philly Region of the SCCA is having an 3 final autocross events in the month of October on Sunday, October 2nd at Boeing just outside of Philly near the Airport, Sunday, October 16th at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, MD, and Sunday, October 30th at Ripken Stadium again. Cost is $25 for SCCA members, $35 for non members, or $25 if it's your first autocross event. It's also best to go ahead and bring a helmet if you have it, otherwise you can use the crappy loaner helmets on hand.

FYI to everyone: Make sure you're there at Boeing before 8am on Oct 2nd, 11am on Oct 16th, and 8am on Oct 30th!!! We run in the AM Session on Oct 2nd, PM Session on Oct 16th, and AM Session on Oct 30th. Registration opens at 9am on Oct 2nd, 11am on Oct 16th, and 9am on Oct 30th, which then closes about an hour later. Driver's meeting is a little after that and racing begins around 10am for AM Sessions and 1pm for PM Sessions. You'll want to walk the course a few times before the driver's meeting, so get there early! Also, you'll get a chance to watch some of the other guys run to get an idea of the course before you walk it.

For more information checkout http://www.phillyscca.com and go to the Solo II section. A suggestion would be to pre-register so that they know how many people will be at the event ahead of time. Just go to the schedule on the phillyscca website and it will take you to myautoevents.com where you need to sign up and it will allow you to register. This will save you time and help out the organizers. It only takes a few minutes, so do it!

The only other thing you really need to bring is some money, your car, and maybe a snack since it can be a long day! Hope to see you guys there.

Isn't your car always in some stage of being fixed? Just curious. Hope to see you out there!

The season has gone pretty smoothly. I wasn't at the last event, but apparently they decided to do 5 runs when they should have only done 4 due to course design, and they didn't finish until around 6-7pm. But otherwise things have been pretty good. Looking to get back to Ripken though in a few weeks. I mean, I have a much better chance against the WRX's on the smaller, tighter course at Boeing, but Ripken is just too much d@mn fun. And it's not like I'm going to win the class anyways, so what the hell!

I'm more than likely going to be there this Sunday. Gonna be autoxing in my "solo2-virgin"-2nd S13 and with a VLSD too. Gonna have to re-learn the car's limits. Ho ho ho. Should be fun, and so far weather.com says the weather is going to be great!
