Since I run a couple of poud on my new setup I have some serious traction issue. And I would like to know if someone has ever try the phatom grip lsd for Pulsar Se transmission is that good ?

The car is making a bit more than 300 whp.

Other than that what migh fix my problem.

I have 205/50/15 Toyo's RA1, and a pair of slick but still pretty hard to got some go 60" foot.

You can, only if you like your transaxle being chewed to hell... It isn't a good idea at all.

Basically it's just metal blocks that push on the drive shaft's side gears causing a semi-lock effect between the drive wheels... Which DOES work as a "limited slip", but when this happens, it will wear the metal blocks and leaves little metal shavings floating around.

It would be less of an issue if it were a separate differential, but a transaxle's oil is shared between the diff and gearbox.

I've used it once upon a time and I guess it performed decent enough. FWD setup are tricky especially on the KN13 pulsars and the B12 sentras, but at least they don't wheel-hop like all others. How do you know your car is making more the 300whp? You have some dyno print-outs and specs of your set-up? And if so, post them up.............

Well I know a guy running Phantom Grip on his SR. It work pretty good at first, but we think he broke it one nite at the track. So now it hooks up ever now and again, but not as much as it should. So I second the motion of just getting a real LSD.

I have been doing some serious thinking about this subject. Sometime later this week i am going to do some measurements on my trash trannys differential. I am looking at a helical style LSD or torque biasing unit whatever you want to call it. I have some technical drawings of Quafes and Torsen units. As soon as i measure our diff i will post what my plans from there are.

I know Dee has used some LSD from another Nissan i dont know what and i dont know if he wants to share......

I don't mind sharing, but if people are not going to seriously entertain such a feat, what's the use. I paid a lot of money, headaches, triumphs, and questionables for what I have and I refuse to even chit-chat about something that I kinda cherish because I'm part pioneer of it. And hell, if I can get paid a bit too, I'll take that as well. But my trannies are completely custom helical units that cost me about a $1000 for just the transmission mods. Custom axles are another story that have not quite been perfected, but they do work and they are on one of my cars as we speak.

But on the subject of the phantom grip, if installed correctly should handle you guys' medium duty needs. I sold my transmission to a guy who is putting a CA18DET into a B13 sentra and wll be using an SDS engine management system in which I will be installing. I sold it to him cheap because I have no more use for that set-up, but they do work pretty good on FWD cars.
