It's official, the Green Monster is on the road again. Will have to update the pic in my Sig. Finished the touch up stuff and final few adjustments on the Q today and drove her home. That takes care of Phase one of the reconditioning. Phase two starts at the end of next month.

My suspension conversion, brakes, brake lines, rotors, upper links, control arms, TCU, ECU, Tower brace, FPCU and minor engine components are all done! I still need the tension rod bushings, but that can be done next month. Allot of other little stuff was done but the above was the most involved.

The ride is great and the JWT TCU and ECU need to "learn" how I drive. It's a bit of a hard shift between 1st and 2nd right now, but wow, what a difference!! I've took a couple of pics I'll try to post tomorrow.

Phase two is major under plenum stuff like injectors, O2's, Knock sensors, wire harnesses, hoses, rubber bootys for the spark plugs, cleaning the throttle body and everything else, re-sealing valve covers and the whole other nine yards along with a 261k tune up.

PHase 3 is the interior rehab.

MR. Green, This is MR. Red.....

Your control unit is ready to ship. $40 and $10 for shipping should handle it. You can paypal [email protected]. How about your address as well!! Had to climb in the trunk to get the bugger out. It's in great shape and no more ACTUS light for me!

texasoil, did you get my email?

Yeah, with a crobar. The car definitely sits higher with the blues than with active setup.

Alright, another NC Q owner!! I did this all myself and took my time doing it!! It was a definite pain in the rear! If you are in Clayton then you're Johnston county and Wake is next to you. Those two counties have a ton of garages that can do the work. I would look for a foriegn car garage and preferably someone who has done Infiniti work. The dealer in Raleigh has always quoted me outragous prices for everything. The active Q is a complex piece of art. I believe there is a great race shop right outside of Goldsboro(your side of Goldsboro) that can tackle a Q and do a great job. Sorry, but I forgot the name. Ask some of the Dealerships(Infiniti, Nissan, etc...) for a good foriegn auto garage, they should send some of their work out when they get backed up, so they should know someone good.

Don't pay more than $65/hour labor because you are in NC.

I've done most everything on my Q except change the transmission. I had 70 East Foriegn auto in Newbern do that and they did an excellent job.

If you ever come down hwy 70 to the beach, let me know because there's not to many NICO memebers in eastern NC. A two person get together is an official Meet!! Ha!
