yeah, there's a bunch of posts somewhere on here about them. I thought about it too. After reading about them though, and other people's experiences with it, the survey says: save for a real LSD instead.

Yeah, I figured they weren't anything spectacular because of the price. I'm gonna search for those other posts you were talking about...

So, does anyone have one? Can you tell us a boot it in some detail, with sentences and paragraphs?

...so far I'm only seeing second hand opinions, which are just about as useless to me as that pile of fecal matter I flush down daily.

Please explain why it is a waste. I don't mean to sound like a d!ck, but give me some proof why these are bad. So far I've haven't heard anybody's personal experience with them. Now I understand the whole concept of "You get what you pay for in life", but seriously why are these bad?

They function much like a helical design. Torque applied through the pinion drives the halves apart and into friction with the output gears. It does in fact work, but not extremely well. The biggest problem is that the strength is not as robust as a true LSD. This may not seem like a big deal since they are so cheap, but how would YOU like having chunks of broken metal floating around in your diff as you drive? I don't fear the failure of the Phantom Grip, I fear what that failure will damage.

Thanks, that makes sense. Now I have the dilemma of which type LSD to buy (mostly for drifting and weekend/sometimes daily driving).
