Phantom gip is pure poop. If you're on a budget, get a VLSD from another 240 or j30If you're not, pony up for a good lsd like kaaz, tomei, nismo, etc.

interesting read. I will say the only experiences with the phantom grip are from the old honda guys i used to hang out with. a few of them tried it and wore it out in a weekend. it may be a different case for the 240's rear end.

i know a lot of the Honda guys don't use the upgraded springs and even on crappy cars it sucks. however, that guy with the upgraded springs in the 240 sounds like it was a total champ. i think i might try one with the upgraded springs. seems like a better gamble than a 10-year-old VLSD, and it operates off the diff's fluid rather than keeping the same fluid inside forever like the VLSD, and it's not used. i think i'm game. i HAVE to take care of these stupid subframe mounts and engine/trans mounts first, and a blown rear shock, but after that i'll be all over a Phantom Slip, i mean Random Grip (as they are known in the Honda community).
