Ok i want to get rid of my unichip piggyback comp.

Now im thinking about getting the apexi PFC BUT there are no shops here in Holland with the apexi software. So i would like to know if you really need the software or if its also possible to map car correctly using only the pfc commander!!!

and yeah i know European tuning companies suck when it comes to tuning jap cars:(

The commander can do a pretty great deal of tuning. Many have gotten 350+ on PFC. I think Wayne at phase2 is using PFC (500+hp).

the hardest part, I think, is that you don't really know how your engine is reacting to the change. all you have is stock sensors, which are crap. you can adjust almost anything, but without knowing what it is doing to the motor it is a bad idea.

it is a great tool though, i have one and love it. if you got a wide band o2 then you should be able to do almost anything you need.

We used a PFC on Ken's car at Enjukuracing. It took some getting used to, but it worked great after we got it all figured out. Of course we had a dyno and a wideband O2 sensor to make sure we got it all right. Still you can't argue with 470rwhp from a stock bottom end SR.

*drools*Amazing how such a small motor can do such a thing. (I tore mine down to a bare block, so it really looks tiny)

I just want to know if i can map the car correctly using the commander because i can not get the apexi software here in Holland.

Yeah i saw the thread on freshalloy about the enjuku car.So you guys mapped Ken's car using only the commander or did you also use a laptop with apexi software.
