do you have welding tools? if not you'll need to take it to a performance shop
marleyone wrote:Hey pezi when you installed your weber did you run a line from the fitting on the upper passenger-side of the carb? I can't figure out if I need to run it somewhere or just cap it?
the one shown here with the red cap? if so its the float bowl vent so it technically should go to the carbon canister.... as you can see mine doesn't lol

well in that case making one is as simple as taking a stock cat... and then cut the pipe to be the same length... then carefully weld on matching flanges with the same angles so it all bolts up properly

That is A.S.C.D. ,it has some lights that blink also.

Also depends on which year, I think the pre 84 models had the computer on the drivers side with the cruise control computer on the passenger.

Awesome, I'll have to look into that. Do you have any pictures of your 720 before flat black? I thought I saw one of your truck on a different thread painted.

the head itself is a direct swap... but you'll need to make some decisions as to what you want to do with the intake manifold, exhaust, distributor (extra plugs).... and possibly the timing chain

That'd be the L20B engine, which has the intake manifold on the other side. The NAPS-Z engines are what you're comparing it to.

quite simple really.... 1. clean the hell out of the dash2. use fine grit paper (just enough to take the surface off of the dash but not enough to ruin the texture it has) 3. clean the hell out of the dash4. repeat steps 2 & 35. further clean the dash using M.E.K. (do this A LOT! you want to do it with a white rag so that you can tell how much of the color is coming out because this is your contaminants that will hurt the quality of your paint over time... the more you get out the better! the M.E.K. pulls all these contaminants out... the rag you are using will turn the color of the dash as these come out... the dash is clean when all the contaminants are out, but the kicker here is the rag will still keep turning color.... but you can kinda tell when its not pulling out as much anymore.6. clean with soap and water and let air dry7. paint.... using

well if you look closely... i have the dash cut in half and there is no longer a lower portion to it.... the vents popped out as a result... and in their place i just used a little wood and bondo and made a little mount for the gauges where the vents were
