Not really a 240 based post but I figured you all would appreciate this link. My best friend owns a 2002 Lexus IS300 5 speed and is real active in the IS300.Net forums. IS300.NET had a meet at Peter Farrell Supercars in Manassas, VA on Saturday and I made the trip with him. If you are not familiar with Peter Farrell, he is best know for modifying the RX7. Since the unfortunate demise of that car in this country his new specialty is the Lexus IS300. He makes a badass turbo kit for that car. Im talking a vette eating monster!!! He recently ran just over an 11 second quarter mile with the Automatic IS300 (Stage 2)!!!! He said at that event that by the end of the summer he should have a 9 second street car (Stage 3+)

All in all it was a awesome event. He opened his doors to about 40 or so cars and had a BBQ for us all! He also had some sick *** RX7's there as well. Not sure if anyone would remember the Black & REd "Evil Twin" RX7 that was in Super Street a while back. It was there and it is a work of art.

Inside on the lift was a blue 2003 Track model 350z with part of the twin turbo system he is developing partially installed. That thing should be boss hog as well.

But unlike our "affordable" 240's these kits come at quite a price. This kid Bryant with the Black 11 sec IS, has spent $10K on just the engine. Not to mention a Full Tein suspension with controller, Stoptechs, and SSR's wrapped in S03 Potenzas. All that on top of a $34K car. Guess when you got it you might as well spend it. I have some good vids of Peter Farrels IS300 screaming by as well as of some of the IS300's and RX7's that I'll post when I figure out how to get the vid from my Hi8 to the PC. Here is the link to the IS300.net page with a few pics.

Yeah it was pretty badass. A guy in a Nissan truck came for a few minutes. The only thing unusual about his truck was the frount mount IC. Pretty crazy, never seen that before. Other than that all IS300's and RX7's
