My futurehubbytypepersonthing is adopting a golden retriever and saving him from being put to sleep. The dog is two years old and kinda goes after kids because he hasn't been well trained. I FREAKING HATE people who buy dogs, don't look after them and give them the proper attention they need and deserve then cop out and look to get rid of the dog because it isn't behaving. Well DUH, if you took care of the dog in the first place it'd behave and stuffs. But yeah, that's just my vent for the night. DON'T BUY PETS UNLESS YOU HAVE TIME TO TAKE CARE OF IT!

Or buy one that doesn't need to be taken care of.

I don't think anyone's self sufficient - male or female. But they do make females that don't need a pen15 to do anything for them.

WTF? what happened? Why your mom do that to you? That's harsh. No dog should ever have to go to the animal shelter if it previously had a family. Unless the dog became vicious, but in that case it's for the greater good if the animal was put down.

Anyhow, i totally agree with Vicki, i happen to work at a pet food supply store, my manager and 3 other women host a dog training class there on thursday nights. Oh the stuff i've seen! my manager tells me that the first day of class (orientation) there's a lot of people, but the final graduation class there's like 5 people left (out of 12 participants). It's sad that people would flush $110 down the drain for a class than rather try to train their dog. As soon as they find out the trainers aren't going to do the work for them, they leave. Damn Hockessinites (DE).

I agree, unless there were extenuating circumstances, that's the kind of **** that keeps therapists gainfully employed.
