So I,m looking to do a track ready suspension on my Z32TT. I've already decided on Koni Yellows, but I cant find springs with a high enough spring rate. The best that I've found are the Tanabe springs with a rate of 220 in the rear, but I want something like 400-450. On top of the problem with the Tanabe springs not being hard enough, they will also end up lowering my car too much. Any ideas where to look for some hardcore springs or am I just stuck with the Tanabes?

just an idea of what sounded good to me for the track, i guess 400-450 is probably a little high, although i think 220 sounds pretty low for track use. it is however a heavy car

I have seen 900 and 1200 lbs in track cars.

I would recommend coil overs, they have adjustability that is fit for track use. Most spring rate measurements are in metric kilogram per millimeter, kg/mm. You can covert to lbs by simply multiplying it by 56.

Powertrix Race coil overs are 8 kg/mm (or 448) in the front and 6 kg/mm (or 336) in the rear. You can request 3 to 17 kg/mm (or 168 to 952). I would email them your setup and hear out their recommendation.

It's a spendy, but it pays back wholesome. And the R&D is proven. And customer service has experience in the Z32.

So i looked up the powertrix coilovers and they look pretty good to me, the only problem is that Ive never heard of them. Is there anything you can tell me about them that might sway me towards them over Koni

Rare isn't a salesman for PT so don't expect him to "try to sway" you. Although if you search around and read up on people's experiences with PT I'm sure you will be more than swayed yourself.

They are reputable and quality and been known by this forum. Edgar, ArticDragon192, has been drifting his 2+2 with them, so they have been put to hard use. He even met the owner of Powertrix in an event, and the owner has a geniune interest in Edgar because he was curious how the Powertrix were doing for Edgar. To me that is customer service.

PM him, and he can tell you his experience.

+1 on Powertrix Ultra Lites. No complaints whatsoever. Not to mention Charles Park is a great guy to work with.

Everybody who tries Powertrix loves them, they have a HUGE name in the Z32 world. Same with SPL - another great choice. I've driven a car with SPL coilovers and they felt great.
