So I was at work this afternoon, and I asked my boss if I could drift around the parking lot after hours. I think he thought drifting was the same as "cruising" or just driving around. So he gives me this really weird look like I'm crazy, and is just like "Um, yeah... I don't see any problem with that, just don't mess anything up."So I got to drift all around the parking lot tonight, and since it just rained for the first time in weeks today, it was incredo slick... which didn't make for very technical drifting, but it made for a lot of fun. There's this wide S-curve as your exiting out the back way of the parking lot that is awesome to drift down. I'm not trying to totally ruin my tires, so I'm going to wait til it rains again to have my own personal little drift day at work.

haha yeah... i'm betting he doesn't though. He only works days, and lives an hour away and is 60 with no kids.

I work at Lowe's, so we have a huge parking lot.

You cant get a ticket if you have permission and the lot is coned off from other cars. But good luck with your boss saying he gave you permission if you do get a officer asking questions... lol

Think about it.

I'm pretty sure you will end up in trouble. I don't thing he understands you will be tearing up the parking lot by marking it all up.

It really depends how much hp you are putting down. Also rain is more dangerous so keep it reasonable. I would hate to see someone loosing there job over something stupid that could be taken to a track.

Yeah, I made sure I wasn't leaving a bunch of tire marks. We have blacktop anyways, so what little marks I may have been leaving weren't visible anyway. And yeah, I'm just stock, so I'm not going too fast. And my boss is a pretty cool guy. He'd just laugh it off. I'll try to get a picture of the s-curve, but there's not really any good vantage points to get a picture from.

I went to work this morning, and my boss came over to me and said "What exactly is drifting?" I just kinda laughed and asked why, and he tells me the security chick watched the tapes from that night, because somebody told her that some cars were out there screwin around after hours, and seen us. He hadn't watched the tapes yet. I told him to watch the tapes and get back to me. lol

Well, anyway, he comes back a while later and looked pissed, and says "Jesus christ, I can't believe you were out there doing that... without me."

HAHAHAHAHA he didnt even care. He said that he wants to ride with me one time.

Shenanigans? Is that like calling BS? Honestly, I think he was joking about wanting to ride along. Especially not in the parking lot. But he didn't care about us doing it that time. I don't think he wants us to do it anymore, but he was cool with it that time.

YES!! We would do that in the Toys R' Us parking lot when it snowed, when I had my nissan pickup! My friend had an f150, but he couldn't whip around like I could.

We also have a deserted mall in richmond where I took my civic and put lunch trays under the back tires and went nuts for a little while. I have a video of it, it was sooo much fun.

It's just under 5mb, and I had it on the internet, but geocities didn't allow enough bandwidth and it could only be viewed like twice a day. I'll email it to anybody who wants it though. It's nothin special, like 1 min long. We got bored of video taping and just wanted to drive. lol... its still cool though. give me your email address and ill send it.

I know these things. I told you not to do it anymore and you get a ticket. I have had how many tickets and the last few times I have been pretty lucky.

The emails are sent. One thing though... I couldn't find the 5mb version. I have the original 10mb version, but my trial period of Ashampoo Shrink and Burn is expired. Even when I uninstall and reinstall, it remembers! Dammit all to hell.... lol. Anyway, I hope you don't have size limits on your emails.

Your boss is obviously high on something. I can't believe this.
