perminate rev limit

my engine runs if thats what you want to call it idles real ruff and when i give it throttle it sounds like its hitting rev limit i tried unpluging the maf but no change i dont kno what to think maybe tps may be maf i just want to drive it any advice

first check for a boost leak (most likley)second try to pull the codes from the ECU

hey what kind ecu are you running?

it could be maf no signalit could be ecu i had the same problem i had rb26dett ecu in mine?

ive had this problem before it could be a boost leak but for me it was my maf the car would it a limiter just like you at 3000 rpms and i traced all my connections they were all good then i noticed if i push on the top of the maf it was all good so i took the top off my maf and theres a brass metel sheild in there and i pulled it up and the car idle and drove fine so i put the top back on sealing it with silicon and it worked for about 2 weeks then pow it did it again so i pulled over riped the top off and left it off works fine now i dont know if this is your prob but it worked for me
