The FAL fan will cool the car off quicker. The CFM rating for the Permacool I believe is higher. Its bull. The FAL will suck your hand through the radiator.

I just got the Summit 14" fan. It is based on the Permacool but has a much nicer mounting bracket...

$75 with free shipping (too bad they add a bogus "handling fee")Summit part number sum-320714

Little update...I've got the perma-cool and it's in and running well. No complaints. We had a really hot weekend here in FL and I ran at a 2 day drift event w/ no problems. :)

The Permacool i think is a metal electric fan. You guys should consider that if you're ever doing anything like changing belts if the fan comes on your hand is gone. The Flex-a-lite dual has plastic shrouds around the fan so you can't hurt yourself. Sure you can unplug the battery, but what if you forget and you're checking out something in the area of the fan? Could cause some trouble. That's one of the reasons I’m willing to spend the extra on the dual 12s. Anyway, so what if you can put 3000 CFM in the middle of the radiator? Putting 2500 on the entire area will net you much better cooling.

I'm running 10"duel Flex-a-lite fans which came with thermostatic control(probe) & A/C relay for around $200 with a KOYO rad. Works fine here in S. Florida. My car runs cool & a/c is cold (no fmic). Wiring was simple. My fans kick in only when needed and I can adjust what temp they engage with a twist of a knob. The fans engage with the a/c compressor just like stock. I only wish my EG6's a/c was worked as well as my 240's.

I never liked it turning on with the AC because what about when you're on the freeway at 70mph, the fan would be on if the AC is. Which sux, you're wasteing a bit of fuel.

FMIC really hurt the radiator flow. I max cooling is supposed to be at min. 35mph, but with my FMIC my cooling isnt good till about 55mph

My auto SR averages around 18mpg in the city and 25mpg on the highway running 80-85mph with the a/c on. I'm sure you manual guys get a little better.

I have a Koyo with 2 12" SPAL fans as pullers and they work awesome! I didn't use the mounting things it came with because I didn't want to stab my rad with a screw driver as well so I got creative...

LOL... The rad install with my creativity will be in a new up and coing mag called GDM (Go Drift Magazine) it will be out in october..

I would just post pictures up but I didn't take any with my camera.. it was all done at the place..

BUT... instead of sticking a huge plastic holder that they supply you wil... use ZIP-TIES!!! works great and the it does not jack up my rad as much as the other brace...
