Permacool 14" fan died

We were tightening the belts on my SR swap'd S14 last night and when we were done my Permacool 14" fan came on and didn't sound right at all. The fan motor sounded like it was trying to spin the fan but the fan wasn't catching. Has anyone had a similar problem with this fan? I'm thinking we just got a defective fan, but if someone knows this problem or knows how to fix it, help would be appreciated.

possibly hooked up backwards? i dont kno about the weird sound tho. my bro's permacool shut off once. grounded it in a different spot, then worked fine.

We figured it out. The pin that goes through both the body of the fan and body of the motor came out somehow. We put another one in and it works just fine now.
