Anyone considering these fans to keep your swap cool might want to look elsewhere. The motors are strong, but the fan assembly itself is an awful design. There is basicly one pin that the fanblades sit on, and are driven by. Then there is a press fitting that hold the fanblade piece onto the shaft/pin. So either the press fitting backs out or the pin breaks and the fanblades start to wobble off axis creating horrible noise and not moving any air.I've gone through 4 of these fans in the last few months and I gotta tell ya it's not fun having to remove the radiator to get to these bishez each time something goes wrong.

This might be a very dumb question, but does it matter which direction you install the 12 inchers? I have two 10" perma-cools and they have to be installed facing the front of the car for both puller and pusher setups.

it doesnt matter which way you install them, but they are setup as pullers. if you install them as pushers you have to take the blade assembly off and flip it around. they'll still move air even if you dont do that, it just won't be as efficent.

I have my 12inch permacools setup as pushers and didnt flip anything I have yet to drive but when idling they come on at 195 and cool the car down and turn off and come back on when the water temp gets back to 195. so seems to be fine

my car actually runs cooler with the rb and 1 12'' pusher than it ever did with the stock ka with thermo fan.

update: carl h and myself got the fans to finally stop sucking... had to replace the pin in the shaft, and ended up threading the end of the shaft to accept a self locking nut. now they are running like everyone else fans... for now... (cue evil music)
