performance tunning?
performance tunning?
hey any of you guys tuned your max's. to tune the car, is it a flash with a computer, or do we have to geta chip?

IIRC 92-94's and 95-99's have ECUs available from JWT, 00-01's do not have anything yet, and 02+ can go to Technosquare or JWT if memory serves.
$595+ and up. Ignore the crap from everyone else, those two are the ONLY tuners who do actual modified stock ECU work on these cars... unless you want to pay $$$$ for a standalone or try a piggyback like the UTEC or SMT-- I have no experience with those on the Maxima, so i can't say how well they work.

You don't have any, unless you're willing to see if a piggyback like the SMT7 or UTEC will work.
I'm not familiar at all with the UTEC being used on a Nissan application, unfortunately, and I've never used the SMT6 or SMT7, but I've heard of quite a few people who have. Those cannot raise rev limits and are relatively limited in functionality, but as you have no other alternative...
