I am going to do an auto to manual swap on my 95'. The motor I am building is going to put out 400rwhp, where can I find a transmission that will safely handle that kind of power. And do I need to look at upgrading my drive shaft. I was already looking into puttin J30 lsd in. Will that be sufficent?

the trans should hold 400rwhp, the J30 lsd should too, as for the driveshaft, not too sure.

RB25 transmission with KA bell housing. You can get one for around $800 bucks, its been proven to hold over 1000hp.

I think the KA transmission when driven hard starts giving out at around 500rwhp.

do you know if the bell housing bolts up or does it have to be modified? and does the rb25 transmission use the same input shaft as the ka transmission?what about the drive shaft, will the stock one work with the rb transmission? sorry for all the questions.

Actually let me give you a differ idea thats a lil cheaper.

You can also go with a Z32 transmission which can be had for about 500 bucks.

And I know ground zero makes a mounting kit for it. Might wanna give them a call for pricing see what you find out.

i was planning on keeping my auto transmission for my turbo setup. how much power you think those could withstand? im not even quite sure how much power i'll be pushing but im sure in the 200's.

so far i have a t3/t4 50 trim, FMIC, manifold, 38mm wastegate, bov, walbro pump, z32 fuel filter, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, manual boost controller, msd blaster 2 coil pack, msd SCI-L module, 1 step colder plugs/wires, safcII, and im still waitin on pickin up a wideband o2, 550cc injectors, oil return/feed lines, camshafts, and a ROM tune. i'll just use the safc/wideband to fine tune the already tuned ECU.

oh, and just a quick question, do i need to relocate the battery for the FMIC piping to fit? and how much power do you guys think this'll give me on a stock dohc block? my biggest concern though is if the auto transmission will hold up.

thanks.

you might hold 200whp with an auto. Dont hold you breath, pick up the stuff to swap and see if the auto holds up to your level if not swap in the manny. 400 I highly doubt
