I hard to say w/o actually expereincing it.

Most G35 drivers seem pleased with their steed's performance.

A dealer check -up is probably a good idea.

I have the auto and I notice no lack of power at all. I did come from driving a Ford Ranger, but I have the car since February, it has 9,000 miles on it and it has great power. I have caught myself once or twice up to and over 120mph in a fairly short period of time.
