performance oil

I was thinking about changing my oil (mobil 1 syn) to royal purple. Is it worth it? this stuff costs 8bucks a quart. has anyone used it and did you notice a difference? thanks.

My 90 Q45 V8 has survived 308,000 miles and 16.5 years on a combination of Mobil 1 syn [50k-250k] and Valvoline 10w30 before and now after.

Much more important than what brand you use is that you change the oil and filter every 90 days and or 3,750 miles.

A mediocre oil can survive and function well this long.

I've used royal purple oils in all my cars...have never had a problem, seems to free up some HP...(they did a dyno test on hosepower TV)
