well i am looking into buying a chip for my hatch. i have heard i can get rid of my govenor with the chip. i have also heard that there is quite the variety of chips. now i dont really know what im talking about when it comes to this stuff so if someone could direct me to a site i could look into them a little more. or someone could offer me thier insight on chips in 240s. looking for a trusted name(dont wanna skimp) that will have a decent affect on performance.

kinda mean, and i already have all that minus the coilovers because i like a comfier ride with my struts and spring combo. imo. and no thats not all im looking for. i want more power(not a swap) i like the ka, just wish i could get more power. (already have totally less restrictive exhaust and an intake).

Thanks for the speed cut remover tho. looking at it now.

Might as well save for a turbo. Not going to get much out of the KA with bolt-ons.

Without some kind of forced induction the ka doesn't have that much more power to give. I don't think any kind of "chip" would give you what you are looking for.

I always hear kids talk about "chips" usually if someone brings a "chip" into the convo you can almost tell they don’t know what they are talking about (not flaming on you) but if you want power for you ka add power, not bells and whistles. Power as in cams, maybe port and polish your head, upgrade your injectors, get an actual tune or tunable ECU. Or free up the horsepower you already have with like a lightened flywheel or ASP crank pulley (frees up 5-8hp) aluminum driveshaft, the less rotational mass the better. Sure all this stuff costs more money but if you want real power in your ka and you don’t want to swap or boost it there’s really nowhere else to go. Look at it this way getting chip is going to do you just as much good performance wise as getting a new paint job. Honestly just tring to look out for a fellow nico member and nissan owner. good luck with your car!

okay, i think i will hit this a different way. i already have a good amount done to the car. ex: stage 2 clutch, test pipe, straight pipe from the axle back(pre axle is hks hi power), cyborg intake, have the struts/springs/ sway bars and tower bars. with that said what would be the most practical way to gain power. there has to be a way to get a bit more out of the ka. maybe i should get a diff (add to the excitement factor.)

Yeah kinda like this kid yesterday who told me his MK4 was in the shop getting 3 turbos installed.

Unless your custom grinding cams, and running high compression pistons, with way advanced timing, on C16 your not making 200 with a NA KA unless your spraying it

Honestly man just save your money and boost your KA in the mean time just free up the HP you already have by lightening everything (drive train and the chassis itself) mainly do research! Its great to have the NICO community to help you out but its even better to have the knowledge yourself...im like a motivational speaker haha
