Performance Chips Good or Not?

My name is Brandon. I'm new to the world of Nissan/Infiniti. I just recently bought a used 08' QX56. More of a family purchase than anything. Traded in an 08' Tundra Limited for this one. Family grew had to make a few changes! Anyway happy with the truck so far. My question is I wanted to possibly add a chip or get a programmer for a little better performance. Mainly gas mileage not so much HP gain.

Any ideas or commentary? It's either get a chip or a radar detector, u know gotta have new play toys for the new ride!
