Performance Benefits From Turbo-Back Exhaust

What sort of horsepower/turbo spool benefits should I expect after installing an O2 Housing, Down Pipe, and Test Pipe onto my SR20DET? All three of these parts are 3" inches in diameter and will be an addition to my already installed 3" inch cat-back exhaust system. Also, how loud will this modification make my car? Thanks for any help...

Ya Nice Car, looks really clean. I'd say maybe 20hp gain and a little quicker spool up. Just a quess since i'v never seen an SR with factory exhaust.

20+ is about right you may actually get more... if you have some sort of cone filter/suction kit and you run with fuel additives, but fuel additives dont help as much. Also try a ground wire kit and a stiff transmission mount. this will help you get lost power to the ground where it belongs and it will increase the feel when running hard or drifting.

as for loud it depends on your exhaust. i have a hks hi-power 3.4" exhaust with turbo elbow,downpipe and test pipe and my car purrs real quiet like a kitten. i love it.

You will see 25-28WHP with the good 3" catback alone..Around 10whp with a test pipe,8-10Whp with a good downpipe.And Iv seen A dyno of 11 whp with a greddy o2 sensor housing pipe. And sr's dont get to loud with exhaust upgrades.Being turbo and all..The type of catback you get makes all the differents in loudness.The RS*R Exmag is 10 times quiter then a Apexi N1 or Blitz Nur-spec..

see i dont think thats true. that would mean my car has 236 hp and thats not counting my blitz intake, arc sidemount, fidanza wheel and aluminum driveshaft. i think in my opinion the most u can get is 15hp with all the exhaust upgrades and that's if u're lucky.

nice gains. i was trying to be realistic with my 15 hp but 22hp is not bad either.

you can wathc a few vids of my car, with everything 3" except for the factory turbo elbow...see how loud it is

and there is also two scans of a magazine with a dyno chart showing hp gains using the HKS Hi-Power exhaust

RS*R claims if you use their GT2 exhaust and their down/frontpipe yoy can see a gain of 50hp
