Hi there, again after I post ,and run up .the lastest problem is AFM .But it seem the new one coming in.The clutch is slip away I can be reve past 5200 in 5 gear.it rev then de rev to in 5200 RPM

all right that is not the point,I am here again. The point is what clutch is the best fro RB20DET transmission.I have been suggest to use coppermix only because the transmission will not support to the carbon clutch.

Anyone have some best answer for me ,and Is the XTD clutch on ebay ,or another on E-bay is qaulity? Thanks every one

i got one for sale. no discs (they are shot)

just pressure plate and flywheel with plate dividers. used in my rb25 transmission, was glorious, but overkill for what my plans are for the car. got different one already.

if anyone wants to buy, im ready to part with it. email me at [email protected] for pics and info

The triple enjoys snacking on RB25 trannies. It would destroy an RB20 transmission in a heart beat. I think the twin might be a bit over kill for an RB20 transmission though also--especially drifting if that's what you are doing.

yuh know for the OS clutches being "SOOO AWESOME" I always see them for sale with shot disks.... either you guys are always over powering them, your a track monster or someone is doing something wrong. Im just saying seems like an odd pattern lol

cause most of them are from rb clips people got and were already used, rebuild is actually faily cheap, u can get em for liek 200 used, and rebuilt for 200, and u have a 1000 doller clutch

carlos, you must have some really good friends lol. i paid 1700 for the rebuild kit alone on my triple disk os clutch. although i did get a new pressure plate to. its an awesome clutch but not to fun in the dd haha.

seems like it would be perfect in a time attack or tracked car! when it grabs it grabs!

it was an OS rebuild kit. came with 3 clutch disks and intermediate plates, new pressure plate and bolts, release sleeve and TO bearing. i think the actual kit was like 14XX but then i paid for next day shipping from japan which was like buying a new set of tires lol.

Yeah, for just my friction discs (3) and intermediate plates was like $1100, and that was when the Yen/Dollar rate was much better. The exchange rate is HORRIBLE right now. Any JDM tight Tokyo drift spec parts getting overnighted from Japan in time for drift wars in the desert right now are going to be CRAZY expensive. The OS multi disc clutches are for sale used here all the time too just because people can't afford to rebuild them, and when they do it's almost as much as a new clutch anyways. I found my triple for $300 used like 4 years ago with still enough meat on it to use for like 1 year. Daily driving them kills them super fast too. They don't like to be slipped AT ALL, but if you want to drive it smoothly, you just figure out how. It wears them way faster than drag/touge playing around.

t_blackout---if you are still using an RB20 transmission, I'd go with a cheaper super single clutch from the states. No idea what brand though. What kind of power are you making?

I think 420 at wheel should be around 470 hp on flywheel.my car are currently weight at 1150 kg plug the driver ,so that is quite light enoght to pull out.

I am now in the middle to think to use RB25 transmission,But some say VG are more perfect it is a bit close ratio.I need to use close ratio in the circuit.here is curve can be the low down the speed.

What do you think rb25det transmission/rb20?

I view the RB20 transmission is disposable and not worth installing in any car over 400hp. It will break sooner or later if you are making that kind of power.

So, it would be the better idea to go for rb25 ,or vg 30 transmission ,buy what is more clode ratio.

You can't just bolt on a VG transmission without the bellhousing from an RB trans so you should either find a dirt cheap awd trans or find an rb25det trans.

I plan on buying from southbend clutch.
