Alright, I absolutely love my yellow fogs and I don't want to get rid of them but, every FM-intercooled Ka-t I see has removed them or didn't have them in the first place. If you have an S14 Zenki with the factory fogs, what did you do to keep them on the car? How big is your FMIC? I am trying to find an intercooler that is 28in in length and no more than 8in tall w/ a 3 to 3.5in thick core. That will be good for my needs.

So anyone out there with an Zenki and factory fogs, please speak up and share some pictures of the clearance if you would.

Thanks a million, Glenn.

its not the size of the intercooler that matters, its where the inlet/outlets are placed and how you run your piping. the way mine is i could run my fogs, but i decided to keep them off because it looked to busy with them on there. btw im running a 24x12x3 but that doesnt matter like i said.

run a v-mount like i did. v-mount ftw!!!

another solution for a fmic would be to place it behind the core support instead of behind the bumper.you'll have push the radiator back, fab up some longer radiator brackets and use electric fans but at least you'll be able to keep the fogs and have shorter charge pipes to boot.

J-z, is that the core size or overall size? I plan on having my inlet/outlets at the bottom of the intercooler (closest to the ground), I believe that's how you have yours as well?

thats the size of my core. the inlet/outlets are on the very bottom of the intercooler. i have the top of the intercooler mounted right up against the piece the top of my bumper cover bolts to. the very bottom of the intercooler is about level with the bottom of my front lip (oh so low i know). then both of my inlet/outlet pipes run evenly up into my engine bay though where the battery use to sit and where the intake resonator use to be.

I kept my factory fogs on a 95 kA-T, I got the intercooler, from this guy jrprp1 on ebay. I think it was 26X3X6 or 7. Contact him, he makes them himself.
