i dont have a kit, i prefer spending all my money on my motor, but if i had alot of extra money i would go with a cwest body kit. They are the best looking kits ive seen on a 240. If i didn't have a lot of money and you dont want a silvia conversion, id say i like the bomex kit second best. Im not a big fan of the invader style kit. See way to many cars with it.

Kits are pointless, they just add weight, I think I sense some rice in the area...

Yep, pretty sure. You are only adding to the body of the car, and thus, you are adding weight. Weight is bad, usually, unless you drag race often and have so much power that your car starts coming off the ground. As far as aerodynamics, unless you have go extremely fast very often, you aren't going to help yourself by changing the aerodynamics, in fact, many kits may actually hurt the aerodynamics, depending on what style they are.

Usually fiberglass light body kits replace the heavier stock body parts on your car and when and if you do drag race they do perform aerodynamically smoother less restriction, enough to give a damn? no prbly not.

exactly, so why the hell do you want one, unless you are drag racing, and VERY serious about it?

From what I know, most kits come in fiberglass, which is definetly a leighter material than that of the stock bumper. The problem is when you get in an accident, the fiberglass kit would be destroyed. Aftermarket bumpers are always leighter than stock. Unless you put huge flares over the wheels like some fools, then your weighed down.

I assumed, possibly falsely, that he was putting a huge C-West or something on it, it sounded to me like he was. If he's doing it to remove weight, that's cool, but his money would be better spent on engine mods.

Body kits are good for show cars. I think as a car tuner, you should pick one: show or go. You can't have the "go" with the "show." Everything required to make a car a good "show" car usually adds a lot of wieght.

Pick one, and stick with it.

Nick.
