Shopping around for tires. want to see the different sizes people are running. right now im leaning towards 275/40's drag radials. most likely MT Street, but maybe BFG.

if you get anything besides a drag radial, dont even consider something as wide as a 275

depending on how you want to fit your best bet is something between a 205 and 235

lol. I'm running 215/45's on my fronts, but I'm thinking about going 215/40 instead.

I guess this thread's focus is on the rears specifically?

drag radials fit weird, no experience with them, tires that are soft on purpose is the devil

it may have been a size that was discontinued, so bfg didnt list it anymore, but tire rack still has some in stock

That's most likely it. I just go to Discount Tires. You can buy tires cheap online, but it's almost same after you pay for mounting and balancing.

are you talking about going to a store as oppose to buying online? if so, we dont have very many choices up here, and i think only 1 or 2 will order drag radials for you but are really expensive. i get my tires m/b for free anyways.

after looking around, and reading reviews i think im going to try out the Nittos. 245/45/17

Tire rack or discount tires are your best bets for tires. A lot of dealers (like NTB) here in Cleveland order their tires from tire rack.

I recently put some 350z wheels on my car. The regular 17x7.5 (front) and 17x8 (rear). I'm running 225/45/17 & 245/40/17. Works great Looks good too.

ok after doing a bunch of reading up on those nitto 555 drag radials, i saw a lot of mixed reviews. but quite a few saying they were hard to hook with so i might not be going with those after all. but im still undecided. i really want to go with those mickey thompson et streets, 275/40/17 but im not sure about the fitment on my 17x8

ideally i would like to run a 255, but i cant find any drag radials in that size... has anyone ever seen any in 255's for 17"?
