well guys, i just welded up my intercooler piping with a blow through maf and enthalpy ecu w/ n60 maf and 370's. she starts and runs great, but its still on jackstands, and i wont get rims and tires till saturday. i have an event this sunday, and with all the odds and ends i need to do by then, i wont get time to borrow a wideband and check the afr's under boost.

my question for those who are running a similar setup is what afr's were you seeing under boost? were you safe w/o tuning on top of your rom tune for blowthrough? i have a safc2, but like i said, no time.

i remember someone had blowthrough w/ enthalpy and they had 10.5's under boost. as long as its not runnin lean im fine. just wanted anyone elses input. thanks guys

The AFR's will probably be a tad rich since the MAF is seeing a hotter air supply even though it's intercooled. Should be fine though as long as the tune is good for your setup, running the MAF as a blowthrough should be just fine.

Wish I could be more help.

...sorry, I thought you meant that WD.

I know I'm not of any help. I wont even pretend to know what I'm talking about.

But maybe you have that little IAT sensor. Could he put that somewhere?

hell yeah, thanks wd. i didnt think about why it would run rich, but that reasoning guarantees i wont be running lean. ill just try not to crank the boost.

i have no IAT, its a 91. good lookin out though!

if anyone else has anything to contribute id like to hear it, otherwise i feel like ill be in the clear. oh man im pumped to drive :D

I don't have a wideband, but I have a jwt ecu with an n62 maf on a blow-through setup and I know my car runs a little rich. I puff out some black smoke in between shifts when i'm boosting. I don't know my afr's but my car doesn't ping and runs great on 9psi...

I would suspect you are running a OA BOV setup. That would explain the black smoke between shifts. Also if the fuel pressure is not 34 psi at idle you will run richer at WOT.

Yep..OA bov. I should check my fuel pressure if it is too high. With a nismo fpr, I should be able to lean it out a little right? Or maybe a begi fmu but they're a lot of $$$..
