i was considering tubbing my wells on my newest project since i plan on running alot bigger wheel with alot more angle

i have read somewhere that the area adds no real structural integrity to the car, and based off that, there is no use for that area

plus ive seen other cars with it completly missing such as formula drift cars, but they have tubed front frames and what not and dont need to worry about there structure, i do since im keeping basically stock

firstly, if somebody who HAS DONE THIS ALREADY, chime in thats perfect

if not

then im down to your oppinions too regarding this issue, if i dont need them im going to just cut them out and run holes! :)

One thing to keep in mind is that the wells do keep debris out of your engine bay. Burnt rubber is a b**** to clean up. Or imagine kicking up something heavier and say, smashing an oil line.

I'd go with tubs. Like said before they keep debris and burnt rubber out of your bay. Not to mention all the tire smoke which could get kicked up in there and probably sucked in by the intake. Not gonna lie it would look pretty gnarly with no wheel wells but tubs look badass too imo

thanks everybody for the input, yeah you both make good points about debris and not so nice stuff like mud and water!

i guess ill look up the writeup and follow the most simple one and bust it out one weekend since i got access to a legit welder now

much appreciated!

before you cut out the wells thou...make shure you weld in support for the tower untill your tub is compleate..if you dont..you run the risk of warping whats left of your towers cousing some funky happenings with your drivability..allso make shure your on level ground too...good luck and post pics of your progress.
